The theme of this year’s 15th annual Otago Global Health Institute (OGHI) conference is: Aotearoa New Zealand's contribution to Global Health - Global citizen versus good neighbour?
We will explore and discuss Aotearoa New Zealand's liberal nationalist approach to health, the issues of how and why it may compromise our global health engagement and, critically, the steps we will need to take to ensure we honour our national, regional and wider international commitments. We will also discuss how we can best continue to foster the development of multi-disciplinary partnerships across the health sciences, humanities, sciences and commerce.
Held in conjunction with the conference is the 2023 McAuley Oration, a free public lecture by a leading Global Health Researcher.
Whether you are working, researching, or just exploring the field of global health, we look forward to welcoming you to Dunedin to share your research, hear from other researchers, discuss projects, and foster new partnerships.
