Webinar 1: SunSmart or SunSlack? A Closer Look at UV Protection in Aotearoa

This talk shares insights from a nationally representative survey of New Zealanders, exploring what people know, believe, and do when it comes to sun protection and UV exposure. It highlights public attitudes, behaviours, and gaps in understanding, and outlines what needs to change to better protect our communities under the sun.

Presented by Dr Bronwen McNoe and Gemma Bevan

Dr McNoe is a Senior Research Fellow  at University of Otago | Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka and co-lead of Te Rōpū Rangahau ō Te Kāhui Matepukupuku – the Cancer Society Research Collaboration. Her research focuses on skin cancer prevention. Gemma Bevan is Head of Communications at the Cancer Society.
