COVID & Work symposium

Collaborating to promote safe, sustainable and supportive workplaces

Several New Zealand universities have collaborated to bring together a wide range of speakers to share their learnings about how we can promote safe, sustainable and supportive workplaces in a COVID world.

The COVID & Work symposium will consider how workplaces can reduce the risks of COVID to their workforce and functioning of the business. It also aims to educate and elicit support for people recovering from Acute COVID and Long COVID to return to work effectively and safely.

Employers, clinicians, health and safety planners, the general public and people recovering from COVID are all welcome to join us.

We are privileged to have such a wide range of speakers contributing to this very important day.

Speakers include:

  • Hayley Wolters, long COVID advocate
  • Dr Mona Jeffreys, co-lead of the major Victoria University of Wellington study on the impact of COVID-19 in Aotearoa
  • Esther Woodbury, Lead Advisor Disability, New Zealand Human Rights Commission
  • Catherine Epps, General Manager Health and Technical Services and COVID-19 Exec Lead, Worksafe
  • Cathy Stephenson, Principal Health Advisor, Ministry of Social Development
  • Dr Denise Quinlan, co-founder, NZ Institute of Wellbeing and Resilience

The full programme will be available in January 2023. If you would like to be a contributor/presenter at the symposium please complete our Expression of Interest Form.
