2022 Otago Politics Day School

An event with sessions for the general public, University students and academics, and secondary school students.

What is the Politics Day School?

The Day School is a series of presentations, lectures and workshops on all things political:

  • Engage with climate change activists.
  • Meet people across the political spectrum: Green, Labour, ACT and National Party representatives, International Socialists, Extinction Rebellion and LGBTQ activists – to name a few!
  • Hear lectures from some of the leading political scientists of Aotearoa New Zealand

When and where?

  • Wednesday 10 August 2022, in the Hutton Theatre at the Otago Museum.
  • A dedicated secondary school programme is offered until 2pm. This is followed by a programme for the general public and the University community, both student and academic, in the afternoon 1pm to 5pm and evening 7pm to 9pm. There is a choice of elective sessions on special interest topics.

Why should you attend?

Experience the University politics community first-hand and expand your knowledge of the biggest issues of today!
