Join us to hear health researchers and partners in the rainbow community discuss recent findings to help deliver better health outcomes. This is a great opportunity to build your understanding and ask questions of our panel. The talks will be followed by a Q&A session. Feel free to bring your lunch with you.

Recent research affecting outcomes for children born with variations in sex characteristics/intersex/DSD by Denise Steers and Mani Mitchell

In this talk, Mani and Denise will discuss their research collaboration and how this lived-experience informed research has been translated into resources for parents and professionals to create better outcomes for children born with variations in sex characteristics.

Insights and Reflections on Engaging Trans Communities in Trans Health Research by Alex Ker and Michaela Pettie

A critical part of doing research to improve gender-affirming healthcare is engaging trans communities in the design and feedback processes. In this talk, Michaela and Alex will share some insights and reflections on facilitating a community advisory group and interviewing people on their experiences of taking a survey for trans young adults initiating gender-affirming hormones.
