We are pleased to invite you to join the inaugural New Zealand Hydrogen Symposium (NZHS), to be held in Dunedin, Aotearoa New Zealand, 1–3 February 2023. This new, research focussed symposium series is supported by the New Zealand Hydrogen Council and will nicely complement their industry focussed H2 2 ZERO Summit, first held by the Hydrogen Council in 2022 and confirmed for September 2023 in Wellington. Both the Summits and the Symposiums will be held on a recurring basis.

Interest in the production, storage, use and integration of hydrogen has grown rapidly in recent years, and with it, attention from researchers, iwi, industry and governments. The NZHS is a multidisciplinary meeting to discuss the latest research in the many aspects of hydrogen, and will bring together local and international speakers and delegates from iwi, universities, government research agencies, policy and industrial partners. Indeed, we are pleased to announce that Hyundai are bringing their hydrogen fuel cell car, Hyundai Nexo (pictured), to NZHS in Dunedin, so you will also be able to check this out during the symposium.

Dunedin is located in the province of Otago, in the South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand, with direct flight connections to the rest of New Zealand. It is renowned for its relaxed culture, beaches and wildlife and is ideally placed for visiting other South Island attractions such as Queenstown, the Catlins and Fiordland.

We hope that you will join us at NZHS in February 2023!
