Sustainable Investing: An introduction

We are pleased to invite you to join an introductory workshop on Sustainable Investing to be held at University of Otago Auckland Centre.  This afternoon workshop will cover various sustainable investing approaches, ESG data measurement and related policy developments.  This is a great primer for those attending the Assembly of Investment Chairs the following day, and for anyone wanting to jumpstart their sustainable investing journey.

Sebastain Gehricke

This workshop will be facilitated by Dr Sebastian Gehricke, who is one of the Directors of CEFGroup.  Dr Gehricke hasdeveloped New Zealand's first and only Sustainable Investing course and leads the University of Otago's Minor in Sustainable Finance qualification.  His teaching incorporates the latest academic and industry insights and public policy developments.  In his research Dr Gehricke currently focusses on sustainable investing, indigenous investing, carbon markets, greenwashing, sustainability disclosure regulation and practice, and impact investing.  Dr Gehricke has a strong publication record and won several awards, among them the INFINZ NZX research report of the year award and the Otago University Early Career Research award.  Dr Gehricke is a strong advocate for a transition to a more sustainable financial system to allocate capital for a transition to a low-carbon and climate resilient economy in New Zealand and Globally.
