Sustainable Investments 101

We are pleased to invite you to join an introductory sustainable investing workshop, held at the University of Otago Auckland Centre.

This afternoon workshop will cover some of the fundamental knowledge in sustainable finance and investments. It will prepare participants for the deeper discussions at the Assembly of Investment Chairs held the following day, or for anyone wanting to jumpstart their sustainable investing journey.

Facilitator - Dr Sebastian Gehricke

This workshop will be facilitated by Dr Sebastian Gehricke, who is one of the Directors of CEFGroup.

Dr Gehricke has developed New Zealand's first and only Sustainable Investing course and leads the University of Otago's Minor in Sustainable Finance qualification. His teaching incorporates the latest academic and industry insights and public policy developments.

In his research Dr Gehricke currently focusses on sustainable investing, indigenous investing, carbon markets, greenwashing, sustainability disclosure regulation and practice, and impact investing. Dr Gehricke has a strong publication record and won several awards, among them the INFINZ NZX research report of the year award and the Otago University Early Career Research award.

Dr Gehricke is a strong advocate for a transition to a more sustainable future.
