Panel submissions should include:
Abstract body text is limited to 200 words, plus three to four keywords.
Title block: Provide a 'stand-alone' description of the research, up to 50 words.
Authors block: Include the full name of each author, with a superscript numbers linking each author’s name to their relevant affiliation(s). Indicate the presenting speaker by underlining their name. Do not include academic degrees or titles.
Author affiliations block: Include all relevant affiliations - including institution, city, province/state, and country for each author.
Two options are available for abstract body structure, as outlined below:
Background: Indicate the purpose and objective of the research, the hypothesis that was tested or a description of the problem being analysed or evaluated.
Methods: Describe the setting/location of the study, study design, study population, ethical considerations, data collection, and methods of analysis used.
Results: As clearly and detailed as possible, present the findings/outcome of the study - with specific results in summarised form.
Conclusions: Briefly discuss the data and main outcome(s)of the study. Emphasise the relevance of the results to global health.
Unstructured abstracts are acceptable for presentation of the abstract body. All other guidelines apply as outlined above.
