COE 150th Anniversary Fund
This fund, managed by the College’s senior leadership team, provides financial support to students undertaking placements away from home.
Many students face financial hardship and socioeconomic challenges during these placements. By helping to reduce these barriers, you enable greater participation, support student success and retention, enhance learning outcomes, and contribute to the strength of the future teaching workforce.

Children’s Writer in Residence
Help us save the only residency for children’s writers in NZ. The Children’s Writer in Residence at the University of Otago College of Education, in partnership with the Robert Lord Writers Cottage, was established 33 years ago. This beloved fellowship brings an author to Dunedin to work on a new piece of children’s writing and engage with local writers, educators and families. The Children’s Writer in Residence is a testament to our investment in what matters most - fostering literacy and the creative capacity of our young people. As the kaitiaki of this heritage, we have an obligation to ensure it continues.
