If you are spending a little extra time in Dunedin before or after the conference and are unfamiliar with the area, we have compiled a list of some of our favourite things to do in the city and beyond.
In the city:
The Otago Museum and Toitū Otago Settlers Museum
Both Museums are located within walking distance from the University grounds.
Only a short walk from the University grounds.
Less than a 10 minute drive from the University, visit Dunedin’s most popular beach, surrounded by plenty of cafés and restaurants.
Beyond:
If you have a car and want to explore the surroundings of the city, the Otago Peninsula is a great place to start. Here you will find amazing views and plenty to do, including visiting Larnach Castle & Gardens and the Royal Albatross Centre.
Orokonui Ecosanctuary, nestled in the Orokonui Valley between Waitati and Pūrākaunui, is approximately a 25-30 minute journey from the University by car, and is another great place that you could explore.
