If you are spending a little extra time in Dunedin before or after the conference and are unfamiliar with the area, we have compiled a list of some of our favourite things to do in the city and beyond.
In the city:
Otago Museum and Toitū Otago Settlers Museum
Both museums are located within walking distance of the University campus.
Only a short walk from the University campus.
Less than a 10 minutes' drive from the University, Dunedin’s most popular beach spot has a great selection of cafés and restaurants.
Beyond:
If you have a car and want to explore further afield, the Otago Peninsula is a great place to start. There you will find stunning scenery and lots to do, including visits to Larnach Castle & Gardens and the Royal Albatross Centre.
Orokonui Ecosanctuary, nestled in the Orokonui Valley between Waitati and Pūrākaunui, is 25-30 minutes away. There you will get to encounter many threatened species in their natural habitats.
